Past Projects

We are here to support women and girls to thrive in their life, relationships, community, work or business. Therefore, the projects we are involved in reflect this. This page provides a couple of projects we have run in the past.

Sisters United Against Loneliness

Sisters United Against Loneliness was funded by the National Lottery Community Fund. It was our debut solidarity project to meet the wellness and emotional needs of the women we serve. Radiant Ambitions believes that women are stronger when we unite together to support each other.

Sisters United Against Loneliness provided a space for women to become more socially active and less isolated through learning a skill in a group setting.

The project was also supported by Barking and Dagenham Council and we are grateful for this.

Neighbourhood Networks

Funded initially by Barking and Dagenham Council, this was a pilot set up in late 2021 to explore how residents of the borough connect and create a sense of belonging and trust within their neighbourhood.  Radiant Ambitions partnered up with the lead organisation, BMoney Wize CIC to deliver outcomes for the pilot within our chosen neighbourhood. The pilot also included Council staff and other  voluntary sector organsiations who had joined the pilot.

Research suggests that strong neighbourhoods are built by empowering those who live within the area to lead on finding solutions that help to resolve issues around social isolation. As a result, during the second phase of the pilot, residents were involved in helping to lead and shape activities that would get residents together to build community cohesion .
